⊕ "How to be a collective?" Research
Since we met, me and Elisa Piazzi thought of starting working together after our studies. When the moment arrived we wondered "why do we have this will of collaborating, of making projects together"? This was the beginning of our research and first project. We interviewed several collectives, mainly in the field of design, architecture and visual art, to listen to their stories, to share concerns and tips.
Our idea is to gather diverse experiences and firstly through a booklet - later on with workshops and symposiums - share the research to generate discussion and awareness around the theme of collective-making. We find this topic very relevant as many other fellows could find themselves with similar wonders in an early stage as much as in advanced one. Through such exchange we hope that everyone could learn something new from each other. If interested, join our research here!
⊕ LARP exploration as world-making
Together with Jana Romanova, we are exploring and designing a series of Live-Action Role Play games (LARP). The idea of using a game format to create fictional scenarios intrigues me a lot, especially because it allows players to use their imagination and play in a shared world we prototyped. In fact, in a LARP one can carefully design almost everything: from the spatial design to the characters profile over the game mechanics and the overarching narrative!
In this sense I perceive the LARP as a powerful tool where mine and Jana's capacities could condense with the scope of offering an experience that players could not experience elsewhere. I believe that inhabiting the life of a fictional character and interacting in a collective imagined world for a short in-between time could help players to be amused, become more aware and rethink themselves.
UPDATE In October 2022 we hosted "Where the Ink Starts", a LARP game we designed and played by the Interior Architecture MA students of the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague. Currently we are searching for other locations where to host the LARP. More info here.

⊕ Livingscape
So far I just feel like writing down a list of words:
ritratto, architecture of relations, narrative landscape, propria logica, self-construction, frame&scale, stile di vita, micro e macro cosmo, rituals...
UPDATE During November and December 2022 I presented "Livingscape" at Stroom, The Hague, in occasion of the "The Try-out Gallery". During these events organised by Lena Longefay, artists are invited to present their current works and share feedbacks. This was an opportunity for me to test a physical installation of my work within an art-space and to discuss its development. A few photos of the installation here.
⊕ Welding-writing Research
Lately I started questioning why the acts of writing and welding are so present in my practice. What do these crafts/mediums mean in my work? Do they communicate between each other? Can they communicate something without bearing any other meaning than themselves, just by being present? What kind of content could I communicate to an audience through such acts? At the moment I am mainly experimenting with the crafts, researching on a semiotic level and thinking of how these are embedded with my past.
Somehow welding and writing resonate for me almost as a therapeutic practice, as a way to put separate pieces together through an organic continuity. The reason why I undertook this research is a need of gaining more agency on these crafts and a better understanding of their role and potential use within my work.
